Established in 2023, Sian Art Space is a regional cultural organization whose mission is to promote artistic practices, provide spaces and create projects that reflect various cultural and social contexts, in collaboration with other cultural institutions and individuals, in order to ensure social and economic development that intersects with culture. Sian Art Space founded by a group of young talented and creative individuals from the old Sudan (North and South), aims to make art accessible to all, and to translate the meaning of ‘Sian’ from its Greek origin to ‘Paradise’ which is always open to all. Promoting creative work in South Sudan and the region, by providing spaces, activities and collaborative projects that support the process of artistic production and creating original artistic projects that reflect the different social and cultural contexts, and display them in a manner commensurate with their specificity.
